The Seattle Sounders announced Monday the addition of Troy Perkins as Academy goalkeeping coach and Wade Webber as U-15 head coach, the former confirming his retirement in the club release following a 10-year career in MLS and a single season in Seattle.
Perkins, 33, retires 10th all-time in Major League Soccer goalkeeping wins with 75 and appearances with 217. The Ohio native was named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2006 while with D.C. United and made four appearances for the Sounders in 2015.
Webber, 48, has spent the last seven years as the Director of Coaching for Washington Premier FC, amassing a record of 596-183-126 including four state titles while with the local youth club.
