Seattle Sounders FC 2 play their first of five matches in California this year tonight against Sacramento Republic FC. Sacramento had a good season last year and made it to the USL Western Conference Semifinals after knocking off the tournament favorite Real Monarchs in the first round. They have started this year off well, winning their first two and tying their last match against Rio Grande Valley. They are one of only five teams remaining without a loss in the Western Conference and sit 5th in the table.
Overall Republic look to have a pretty solid defense, though they are susceptible to being beaten in one on one situations so it will be key for Nick Hands to attack on the dribble.
