Former Seattle Sounders FC Head Coach Sigi Schmid passed away on Tuesday at 65. The soccer community mourns the loss of Schmid, who held managerial positions with the LA Galaxy, Columbus Crew SC and the Sounders, in addition to a stalwart coaching career at UCLA. He is Major League Soccer’s all-time winningest coach with 240 career victories. His legacy has left a lasting impact on the American soccer landscape, and many notable figures took to social media this week to offer their condolences.
