After 744 competitive minutes between S2 and the Seattle Sounders First Team in 2017, Seyi Adekoya is no longer a player with the organization. At Tuesday’s practice, head coach Brian Schmetzer confirmed that Adekoya and the Sounders parted ways.
Sounder at Heart has learned that this action took place several weeks ago, explaining his prolonged absence from practices and inability to make the 18 while the team needed a forward.
My previous statement that this was an “unofficial suspension” was erroneous and was never intended to be taken as a quote of any team official or statement.
