A frenetic first half was followed by a frustrating second period where it seemed the Sounders were destined not to find the back of the net. Seattle were in desperate need of a goal, a home draw would have nearly closed the door on a postseason without lots of help from other teams.
Again, Nicolas Lodeiro saved the day. He never seems to tire, and the quality of his 80th-minute passes match his 5th-minute ones. Despite this being possibly Nico's least effective game so far as a Sounder, he managed to find a diving Jordan Morris with an excellent ball in the 81st and lifted his team to victory in Seattle.
