In their second preseason match in Tucson, the Seattle Sounders came away with a 1-0 loss. There were many positives to take away from the match, including Clint Dempsey’s continued progress, Nicolas Lodeiro’s free kicks looking as dangerous as ever, and some strong performances from draft picks and homegrown players alike. The match was more of a physical battle at times than you might expect from the early preseason, but luckily players seem to have completed their trip to Arizona without major injury.
