Seattle’s almost healthy team was able to finish the season off strong, overpowering San Jose at CenturyLink with a comfortable 4-1 win. The Sounders showed that when they have a first-choice lineup, they can dominate in spurts against playoff teams, and they used a strong second half to close out the season. The first half was another story, as Seattle controlled much of the ball but were unable to score and allowed San Jose a few counterattack chances. By the end, the Sounders had a dominant score line and will go into the playoffs as the second seed and with some needed momentum.
