That was a match to forget, to say the least. Though Frank Lampard's goal should most likely have been disallowed, that will be no comfort to a Sounders squad that couldn't create a dynamic attack at home, couldn't get chances on frame, and couldn't control the midfield or move the ball to dangerous areas for long stretches.
Captain Brad Evans is furious, but he says he knows he needs to keep his cool and hold the team together:
"The last thing you want is for certain people to go different directions at the middle point of a season, but you know we all have to recognize that we have to do better.
