Playing the seventh seed in the playoffs at home looked to be an easy task, with the second seeded Sounders racing to an early two-goal lead and barely missing multiple strong chances to net a third. Then Dallas got some hope with a goal against the run of play, and made excellent halftime adjustments that led to a tying goal midway through the second half. Suddenly, the home team looked tired and as Dallas added fresh players and continued to adjust, Seattle was in danger of letting the match slip away. The herculean efforts of a number of key players got the game into overtime, where Jordan Morris continued his excellent form.
