Ahead of Earth Day and MLS WORKS' third annual Greener Goals Week of Service from April 16-20, the Seattle Sounders have teamed up with adidas to support Parley for the Oceans.
During Week 8 matches, MLS players will wear special adidas kits built of technical yarns made using Parley Ocean Plastic. Each adidas Parley jersey consists of about 13 bottles of recycled plastic and the Parley yarn contains 35% recycled ocean plastic and 65% recycled PES. The 2018 edition comes in two colors, carbon and non-dye, which will differentiate the squads on the field. See below for the Sounders kit:
Last season, the Sounders were one of four MLS teams to wear Parley jerseys, but the initiative has extended to all clubs for 2018.
