Still unbeaten to start the 2020 regular season, the Sounders were ranked the No. 2 team in the league in MLSsoccer.com’s Week 2 Power Rankings.
After getting top billing in the first two editions of the weekly column, the Sounders fell one spot following the team’s 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew SC on Saturday. The Rave Green outplayed their opponent and earned a come-from-behind point while still missing a key piece.
“The Sounders attempted 17 shots in last weekend’s draw against Columbus, but couldn’t score from open play,” wrote MLSsoccer.com contributor Jonathan Sigal. “It’s also a mixed bag on the injury front, with Gustav Svensson back in the XI and Nicolas Lodeiro still out.
