As the season comes to a close the Vancouver Whitecaps could be eliminated by the Seattle Sounders. On their side the Sounders could put themselves into a stronger playoff position taking over fifth with a chance over their next three games to earn a home game in the second season.
Without either Dempsey or Lodeiro the lineup head coach Brian Schmetzer puts out will lack a creator and a second scorer. The depth which struggled so much throughout the past year must come through if Seattle is to attain their goal.
