Seattle Reign sign draft pick Katie Johnson

Seattle Reign FC announced today that the club has signed Katie Johnson for the 2017 NWSL season. The forward, who has already earned caps with the Mexico women’s national team, was the 16th overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. With Johnson’s signing, Reign FC now have two remaining roster spots open.

A graduate of USC, Johnson helped the Trojans win the NCAA National Championship during her senior season in 2016, scoring two goals in the championship match against West Virginia. She also had the winning goal in USC's 1-0 semifinal win over Georgetown. Johnson scored 24 goals and tallied six assists during her collegiate career, including 10 goals her senior season.
