The Seattle Reign's 2016 schedule just dropped and it would appear they heeded the loudest complaints from years past. Most notably, the Reign will not play any home games on weekdays or on the same weekend day as Sounders home matches. The schedule was also crafted to avoid playing on FIFA dates, including the entire Summer Olympics.
The regular season will consist of 20 matches again, 10 of which will be at home. Five of those matches are on Saturday and the other five on Sunday. That schedule will include home-and-away matches against eight teams and four matches against the Portland Thorns.
