A pair of Sounders Academy alumni, S2 center back Sam Rogers and Indiana University goalkeeper Trey Muse, are in Raleigh, North Carolina, for a domestic camp with the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team. Head Coach Tab Ramos named a 20-man roster for the camp, running from July 15 - 22, with eight debutants as he looks to solidify the player pool ahead of U-20 World Cup qualifying in November.
The next U-20 World Cup will be held in Poland in 2019, with just four sides from CONCACAF qualifying for the event.
Two of the most prominent prospects to emerge from the Sounders youth system in recent years, Rogers and Muse helped lead the Sounders Academy U-18s to the club’s first-ever appearance in the USSDA final four, with the young Sounders securing a third-place finish.
