TUKWILA, Wash. — The Seattle Sounders won’t be taking Minnesota United lightly when they travel to TCF Bank on Saturday. Despite a recent setback on the road in Vancouver, Minnesota has won three of their last four matches and has been playing a much better brand of soccer since adding Colombian forward Darwin Quintero March 31.
Quintero’s name will be familiar to Sounders fans. The 30-year-old has three career goals against Seattle from his time with Santos Laguna and Club America in the CONCACAF Champions League.
“He changes everything,” Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer said about Quintero following Thursday’s training session.
