Seattle trades a late round pick to open up room for another international player, giving Laura Harvey room to work her recruitment magic again.
The Seattle Reign have traded a 2nd round pick in the 2017 draft to the Boston Breakers in exchange for one of their international spots for the upcoming season.
International players have been keystones of Laura Harvey's rosters since the 2014 resurgence of the Reign. Kim Little and Jess Fishlock (who now has her green card and no longer takes an international spot) are two of the team's three most influential players — along with American Megan Rapinoe — and in 2014 Nahomi Kawasumi was a fan favorite and key player in the attack.
