Raúl Ruidíaz is back in Seattle, putting him on pace to return to action as soon as Tuesday’s match against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Ruidíaz announced his return to the Emerald City on Instagram.
Ruidíaz had been quarantining in Peru since testing positive for Covid-19 last week. All indications are that he’s remained asymptomatic throughout. Assuming the Sounders medical team give him a clean bill of health, MLS protocols won’t require him to miss anymore games. It was initially feared that Ruidíaz would have to do a second quarantine after returning to the Sounders, but MLS ruled that he’ll be considered a “recovered person” and eligible to return immediately.
