A bit more than two months ago the Seattle Sounders had high expectations for 2016. Even after losing Obafemi Martins the Sounder at Heart staff fully expected the club to have at least one home game in the MLS Cup Playoffs. But, things have changed. Fans were nearly as excited.

A 4-6-1 record with ninth place in the Western Conference leads to a reassessment of that confidence. Sigi Schmid still thinks fans believe the team will make the playoffs.
