Another name has surfaced as a potential Seattle Sounders transfer target: Oscar Romero, a creative midfielder who currently plays for Argentina’s Racing Club and the Paraguay national team.
By all appearances, Romero would be a very expensive signing. Racing are supposedly looking for about $10 million and have reportedly turned down an $8 million offer from Brazil’s Fluminense.
Still, there’s at least some reason to think this is a player the Sounders are considering him.
Reports out of Argentina have said an unnamed MLS team has bid on Romero’s services. Romero was among the players Sounders head scout Chris Henderson watched play during his trip to South America in March and MLSsoccer.
