It likely isn’t the move that Seattle Sounders fans have been anticipating, but it does appear as though there will be at least one addition before the close of the summer transfer window tonight.
Nicolas Benezet, the former Ligue 1 player, will be joining the Sounders, according to his agency. Although no details of the move have been released, it is likely a trade with the Colorado Rapids, for whom Benezet currently plays. The Rapids acquired Benezet from Toronto FC following the 2019 season in exchange for $50,000 of General Allocation Money, but they also agreed to pay a transfer fee of about $550,000 to Guingamp.
