Despite having been injured and unavailable for last weekend's trip to Houston, Seattle Sounders forward Nelson Haedo Valdez was back in training on Friday and according to Sigi Schmid, is available for Saturday's home match against Philadelphia Union. Valdez was replaced by Jordan Morris at center forward in the draw against Houston, but as both players have been similarly ineffective, it's anybody's guess regarding who starts up top for Seattle.
Erik Friberg, who has been out with an MCL strain since coming off in Week 2 at Real Salt Lake, was also in training on Friday and potentially available for Saturday.
