As reported yesterday, we have been able to independently confirm the Sounders are currently in advanced negotiations with Brazilian Seríe A side Palmeiras for 22-year-old prospect Wesley, who I’m told the Rave Green has been scouting for at least a couple of seasons. The young talent is one of three primary targets that Seattle has been following as potential players to fill in a role in the attacking front. That in no way means that Seattle is also in talks with other teams, it simply means there are other possibilities if this negotiation does not eventually reach an agreement.
