The losses keep coming for the Seattle Sounders. The latest may not be the worst, but it hurts nonetheless. LAFC has selected backup goalkeeper Tyler Miller with the first pick of the MLS Expansion Draft on Tuesday. The Sounders will receive General Allocation Money as compensation.
The 24-year-old has been the Sounders’ primary backup to Stefan Frei each of the past two years. Although he’s had only a handful of first-team appearances across all competitions, he posted a shutout in the first leg of the Western Conference finals against the Houston Dynamo.
