SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Sounders FC 2 (5-20-5, 20 points) on Saturday dropped a 3-1 decision to San Antonio FC at Toyota Field in Texas. Azriel Gonzalez scored his second goal of the season just before halftime on a feed from Shandon Hopeau for S2’s lone tally of the evening. The teams split the season series, as Seattle earned a 3-2 home victory in the first meeting on August 11.
Gonzalez’s goal in the 45th minute pulled S2 to within a goal just before the break, 2-1. He took a pass from Hopeau on the left side, cut it back and dribbled to his right, then fired a shot from outside of the area that found the bottom right corner of the goal.
