Soccer Bowl 1977 was the Seattle Sounders first taste of a championship, it slipped through their hands that August day when Giorgio Chinaglia tucked away a Steven Hunt pass in the 77th minute. Saturday's game the past will be present and in front of a TV in North Carolina I will be watching the game with two players who were on the field in 1977, Jimmy McAlister, Tommy Jenkins, and 20 boys from Seattle United. We will be rooting for the home town team to bring home a championship to the Emerald City.
