Major League Soccer released its full 2016 regular-season schedule on Thursday afternoon, and while the Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps will open Cascadia Cup action on March 19 at CenturyLink Field, Seattle and the defending champion Portland Timbers don’t face off until July 17 at Providence Park.
Seattle has 14 games slated for national television, including the season-opener on Sunday, March 6 against Sporting Kansas City on Fox Sports 1. FS1 will also televise the lone Sounders-Timbers match at CenturyLink Field on August 21.
All three Sounders-Galaxy games will be shown on ESPN, with two of the matches being played at CenturyLink Field (July 9 and July 31) before the final meeting of the season at the StubHub Center on Sept.
