Major League Soccer Monday rewind: Attention turned elsewhere; looking at you, sad USMNT

Though the Sounders were off this past weekend, and though they happened so far beneath the international soccer radar that normal submarines are crushed by the atmospheric pressure, a handful of Major League Soccer games were played on Saturday.

NYCFC and the Revs played to a 1-1 draw despite a 51st-minute red card to New England’s Gershon Koffie, FCD crushed United despite heavy national-team absences and Vancouver ground past the Dynamo courtesy of a controversial penalty kick.
