As you’ve probably seen by now, the Seattle Sounders finally handed out their MLS Cup 2019 championship rings this week. Not only did everyone who played on the team receive a ring, but so did many of the team’s non-soccer employees. Part of the presentation of those rings included a tribute video with individualized good-luck wishes to each current player from players of the past.
It was a nice touch, to be sure. But there were also some fun Easter Eggs in there. Our good friend Likkit identified a few of them.
Mike Fucito, for instance, was rocking an Erik Friberg jersey that he turned around just to drive home the point:
Friberg, who was in attendance at the championship game, spilled some tea about celebration-stylings of fellow Swede Gustav Svensson:
Finally, the highlight of the whole video belonged to none other than Chad Marshall, who resurrected Román Torres’ bunny hop dance:
Of course, this all pales in comparison to the production the Sounders made out of presenting Bheem Goyal with his ring, a video that will surely spawn a lot of onion cutting:
