Seattle Reign FC’s offseason news keeps on rolling as today the team announced that head coach and general manager Laura Harvey signed a four-year contract extension. The deal will keep Harvey in total control of the club through the 2020 season.
As the team prepares for the 2017 season, its fifth, not much needs to be said about Harvey’s resume to warrant a contract extension like this. After the rough waters of finishing 7th in the inaugural season in 2013, the turnaround Harvey made with the roster and their performance on the field was night and day. She found her core from the inaugural roster in the form of Jess Fishlock, Keelin Winters, Lauren Barnes, Stephanie Cox, Elli Reed, Hope Solo, and Megan Rapinoe.
