Midway through a yellow-card laden second half, things were looking bleak indeed Sunday night for a Sounders team struggling all game to break through.
They’d already seen striker Jordan Morris lost for what could be a while to a hamstring injury and their club record 11-game unbeaten streak was in serious trouble against a Los Angeles Galaxy side putting up a defensive wall. But then, old pal Lamar Neagle, who’d subbed on only minutes before, dialed things back a couple of years to salvage a 1-1 draw for the home side.
Neagle raced toward the middle of the box just in time to take a pass from Roman Torres and fire it inside the far post for an 85th-minute strike that salvaged the Sounders a draw.
