When the Seattle Sounders take on the LA Galaxy on Sunday at StubHub Center (1 p.m. PT; ESPN, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360AM), LA will boast a new offensive asset.
The Galaxy on Tuesday acquired forward Jack McInerney, who was waived by the Portland Timbers on March 1. McInerney, 24, has 43 goals in 167 regular-season MLS appearances for the Philadelphia Union, Montreal Impact, Columbus Crew SC and the Timbers.
“Jack is a young and experienced player in MLS who has shown that he can score goals in this league,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Pete Vagenas.
