SEATTLE – The U.S. national team arrived in Seattle on Sunday night ahead of its Copa America Centenario quarterfinal match this week, and head coach Jurgen Klinsmann took a walk at CenturyLink Field to see just where the Americans’ huge matchup will go down.
The U.S. will face Ecuador on Thursday night (6:30 p.m.; FS1), and Klinsmann said Monday he’s hopeful Seattle’s notoriously raucous crowd will help the Americans over the top in their first match in the Emerald City in three years.
“We hope this stadium will be rocking, we hope this place will be packed on Thursday night,” Klinsmann said in a Facebook Live chat with fans.
