COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Seattle Sounders will be without one of their attacking threats for the matchup against the Columbus Crew.
Joevin Jones left the team after the game versus New York City FC to be present for the birth of his child. The left back/midfield started against NYCFC and played the full 90 minutes plus extra time. He returned to Trinidad and Tobago to be by his partner’s side.
Jones left with the team’s permission, and is expected to be back for the game next week’s game versus Atlanta United.
