The game may have been effectively over by the time he stepped onto the pitch, but Jordan Morris made his Swansea City debut when he subbed into the game against Rotherham United in the 83rd minute. Morris replaced fellow forward Jamal Lowe as he became the first American player to appear for the club.
Although he had limited opportunities to impact the game in his roughly 10 minutes on the field, Morris did show some glimpses of what he has to offer. He made a couple of strong runs that pulled defenders to potentially create space for a teammate, if not to release him in behind, but the runs went either unnoticed or under-utilized.
