Jordan Morris’ brace leads United States past Martinique in 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup

Jordan Morris scored twice on Wednesday evening to propel the United States past Martinique in what was a Seattle Sounders-filled second group stage match of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Morris and Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan each started for the United States — Roldan earned his first USMNT cap — while defender Jordy Delem and former Sounder Kevin Parsemain started for Martinique.

The U.S. and Martinique were scoreless in the second half until defender Omar Gonzalez put the Americans in front with a goal off a rebound in the 53rd minute.
