Jimmy Ockford will not be on Seattle Sounders FC in 2017 with the announcement that he has joined USL side Reno 1868 FC. Ockford has spent the last three years on the back end of the Sounders’ roster and out on loan but his time as one for the future appears to have run out.
Ockford spent three years playing as a forward at Mount St. Mary’s before a senior year move to Louisville that saw him play centerback for the Cardinals. His performance in a new position his last collegiate season was impressive enough for the Sounders to pick him 21st in the 2014 draft.
