Seattle Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock continues to impress in Australia’s W-League, where she is playing her second season with Melbourne City FC while also serving as assistant coach.
After going undefeated in the 2015-16 season, things haven’t been quite as easy for Melbourne City this year. The club began the season with a 4-2-0 record. Fishlock hasn’t stopped being a workhorse and production engine, however. Heading into City’s match against the top-of-the-table Perth Glory, Fishlock had already scored a team-leading three goals in six matches.
And she added a fourth in stunning fashion this week. After going down 1-0 in the 47th minute, Melbourne City was pushing hard for an equalizer.
