One of the stickiest rumors we’ve had this offseason is that the Seattle Sounders are pursuing Colombian midfielder Andres Felipe Roa. The 24-year-old is apparently looking for a way out of Deportivo Cali and the Sounders were reportedly interested. The rumors have been swirling around for a few weeks now, with our very own Niko Moreno doing a lot of the reporting.
As recently as today, there was this report at the FutbolTimes.com that said of all the offers Roa has, the Sounders’ one is the most attractive.
Roa is a somewhat intriguing target, having turned in strong campaigns in 2015 and 2016 before falling off a bit last year when he scored just one goal in about 2,100 league minutes.
