The Hiroshi Kiyotake situation may be a bit more complicated that it looked just 24 hours ago. Although Sevilla still plans to sign Walter Montoya — which would force them to clear an non-EU roster spot — there’s at least a possibility that the move can’t be fully completed until the summer transfer window. If that happens, Sevilla doesn’t seem to be in any rush to move Kiyotake and he doesn’t seem to be angling for a way out.
On the other side of the coin, Kiyotake seems inclined to wait for a move to Japan to materialize rather than rushing to accept the Sounders’ offer.
