It’s obviously early and it would be silly to read too much into a scrimmage against the second team, but Will Bruin and Fredy Montero appear to be developing a nice little partnership. Bruin had a goal and two assists, while Montero had two goals in what appears to have been a 5-1 win in the first of two scrimmage games between the Seattle Sounders and Tacoma Defiance on Tuesday. The Sounders appeared to have won the second game 3-0.
Bruin’s first goal was particularly nice, as it featured a beautiful outside of the boot pass from Nicolas Lodeiro.
