From Dallas to Colorado: What We Can Learn

The Sounders suffered a pretty heavy defeat down in Frisco, Texas last Saturday, falling 2-0 to FC Dallas thanks to a 3rd minute penalty converted by Mauro Díaz and an 80th minute breakaway by Michael Barrios. The Sounders had their chances early, specifically Joevin Jones and Herc Gómez getting behind Dallas’ uncharacteristic high line, but couldn’t slip the ball past Chris Seliz, who stepped in for the injured Gonzalez. Here is what Seattle can take away from this loss, moving into Saturday’s game against the Rapids:

1) Seattle struggled after conceding early

After Dallas converted their penalty through Díaz, Dallas kept pushing forward, allowing Seattle to have opportunities to equalize.
