TUCSON, Ariz. – New Homegrown Player signing Jordan Morris made his Sounders preseason debut in a 2-1 loss as Seattle fell to Celaya FC of the Mexican second-division in a Tuesday night friendly at Kino Sports Complex.
Here are my first impressions:
- Morris’ preseason debut was quiet. Barring a noteworthy piece of hold-up play – when he spun a Celaya defender at midfield before sparking an attack – Seattle’s high-profile Homegrown Player signing didn’t get a whole lot of touches. He was isolated on the right after entering as a halftime sub and didn’t have much more of an impact after shifting into the middle.
