If you’ve been wondering where Felix Chenkam has been for the Seattle Sounders or S2, the club provided an answer Friday. The Cameroonian striker successfully underwent surgery for a herniated disc early today.
Chenkam, 19, was signed by the first team May 25 after a slew of injuries left the Sounders out of options up top. The teenager never managed to make his debut for the first team, entering a standing loan agreement to return to S2 July 8.
It is not precisely clear when Chenkam sustained the injury, but the striker has not appeared in a match for S2 since appearing as a substitute against Real Monarchs SLC on July 15.
