If you had told me a month ago that I’d be writing an article this week, but it wouldn’t be a post-mortem of Seattle’s 2019 campaign, I would not have believed you. The Seattle Sounders have a certain knack for defying the odds late in the season. This isn’t to suggest that the statistics are wrong, after all, they’re just numbers and those numbers are accurate, but Seattle — either through luck, the force of will, experience, or most likely a mix of all of those things — have once again advanced to the MLS Cup final.
