ESPN+ launches April 12 with all out-of-market MLS matches

ESPN’s live and on-demand sports streaming service, ESPN+, has a launch date. Starting April 12, MLS matches from around the league that aren’t local to the user or broadcast nationally will be available through ESPN’s new apps or through their website. The subscription-based service runs $4.99 per month, and also features MLB and NHL games, among a slate of additional content.

ESPN’s announcement doesn’t mention USL coverage, although more sports and leagues for the platform will be revealed in the coming weeks. One report indicates games from the the division II league are likely to be available on the platform.
