DeAndre Yedlin’s first Premier League goal was a big one. Not only did it make him the first Washington native to score in the EPL, but it also was the equalizer for Newcastle at Manchester City’s famed Etihad Stadium.
Fittingly, the goal was called by former Sounders play-by-play voice Arlo White. Although White’s time covering the Sounders never overlapped with Yedlin’s playing days there, he did call a few of his games while serving as the main MLS voide during the 2013 season.
The goal comes a week after he had the equalizing assist against Chelsea.
