No one person has become more symbolic of Seattle Reign FC than head coach and general manager Laura Harvey. The 37-year-old England native was one of owner Bill Predmore’s first hires before the team’s inaugural season in 2013 and has shaped the team very much in her image.
There aren’t many jobs in the women’s game she’d probably leave this one for, but one of them just came open and Harvey appears to be one of the top candidates.
Harvey’s name has apparently been put forward by England legend Kelly Smith as a potential replacement for recently fired manager Mark Sampson, according to a report in the Evening Standard.
