Coffee & Valkyries, Episode 7

Going into the 2019 season, forward Darian Jenkins was touted as the big offseason acquisition for Reign FC. The forward out of UCLA was drafted by North Carolina Courage in 2017 but didn’t make her professional debut until last season after a lengthy recovery from injury. While she got a handful of appearances as part of the NWSL Championship-winning squad, she sought more playing time.

That is how she is now a member of the Reign FC squad.

On this episode of “Coffee & Valkyries,” you’ll hear from Jenkins herself about how she requested the move to play for Vlatko Andonovski, and while there’s been a bit of setback with a hamstring injury, how eager she is to get back out on the field, perhaps as soon as this coming Friday against Utah Royals FC.
