The future of the Seattle Reign FC is now some 38 miles down south. It was announced today that the club is relocating to Cheney Stadium in Tacoma for the 2019 season, ending their five-year stay at Memorial Stadium. The relocation is part of a new partnership with the Tacoma Rainiers and Sounders FC 2, as well as Adrian & Lenore Hanauer becoming minority stakeholders in the NWSL franchise. These moves will help resolve some uncertainty about the club’s future and set them on a path to a brighter future.
